Job opportunities in the cannabis industry are extensive and require a variety of skills and interests. You may choose to work on the agricultural side of the business, where crops are raised, harvested and processed. Or you may want to work in a dispensary, providing excellent customer service. Or you may opt to work behind the scenes of a cannabis business, as a marketing manager or accountant. While entry-level jobs such as bud trimmers or cultivators do not necessarily require a college degree, many employers require a bachelor’s degree or perhaps even advanced graduate degrees as well as experience in the field.
Salaries range widely, depending on the job position, education and level of experience. For example, according to cannabislifenetwork.com, a master grower can earn between $50,000-$150,000 per year, while a marketing director in the cannabis industry can make from $71,000-$200,000 per year.
