At PennWest Global Online, we understand that many of our students are balancing full-time jobs, part-time work, family obligations, and personal commitments. That’s why our programs are built with flexibility, support, and real-life demands in mind. Whether you're returning to school to advance your career, change directions, or achieve a personal goal, we’re here to help you succeed. Your journey starts with our Online Orientation—an engaging, real-time, hands-on experience led by a knowledgeable facilitator. It’s designed to ensure you feel confident navigating your courses, managing your time, and using all available resources from day one.
Our Online Orientation is delivered through Desire2Learn (D2L), PennWest’s official Learning Management System. Each session is facilitated by a Student Affairs professional who is dedicated to helping you start strong. Orientation is offered every semester, beginning the week before classes start and running through the end of the first week. During this time, you'll become familiar with the online learning environment, explore available academic and technical support services, and connect with fellow students and staff. It’s more than just a tutorial—it’s your first step in building a successful and supported learning experience at PennWest Global Online.
