Every day, hackers and cyber criminals are releasing new, advanced computer viruses, ransomware, and scams that endanger the data on which our community depends. In fact, a McAfee study in February 2018 reports hackers drain an estimate $600 billion annually from the world’s economy. When you earn your Professional Science Master’s in Cybersecurity online from PennWest, you can continue working in your business, government, or non-profit setting while preparing to meet the demands and challenges of economic and infrastructure security tomorrow.

The curriculum emphasizes both fundamental knowledge in current cybersecurity practices and management and leadership abilities. It was developed in consultation with industry advisors to ensure that courses align with employer needs. You will gain specialized knowledge in network security, biometrics, and cryptography, as well as risk management and database management.

A six-credit capstone internship allows you to apply program coursework in a corporate, industrial, or other professional setting.
