The Communication BS offers the most flexibility of all the Communication BS options. Students are able to choose from a selection of lower and upper level classes to meet their career goals. Core coursework in written and oral communication, professional experiences and career development curriculum provides students with the common skills needed to succeed in any COM related field.
Elective coursework may vary; students may prepare for a career in media writing, social media, media management, speech and human communication or other communication-related fields. This program is perfect for students who want to find their own direction or transfers from other institutions.
With the Bachelor of Science in Communication – Digital Media concentration, students prepare for a career by completing coursework that covers media planning and pre-production, content creation and post-production techniques. Students are provided with the tools they need to create targeted content with a purpose. Students are guided through the story telling process, starting with audience analysis and messaging strategy techniques to shape narratives for all generations.
Faculty with extensive experience in the field will help students develop multimedia literacy and narrative techniques you can apply to all media contexts. Students will learn audio, video, photography and technology skills that are informed by a foundation in writing, critical analysis and creative development.

Students are provided with tools they need to drive the mission of any organization and practice through project-driven assignments. Students are guided through the professional practice of public relations with emphasis on corporate, crisis and conflict communication.
