What You'll Study
You'll develop an understanding of the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities while exploring evidence-based instructional practices, assessment methods and positive behavior interventions. Core coursework covers the foundations of special education, applied behavior analysis and teaching strategies for students with disabilities. You'll also customize your studies through electives in areas such as autism spectrum disorder, structured literacy, early intervention, learning disabilities, trauma-informed practices and special education mathematics or reading instruction.
