Arabic is one of the six most widely spoken languages in the world. With PennWest’s online master’s and Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Arabic Language and Linguistics, you’ll develop the skills to excel professionally as an educator, linguist, translator or interpreter in our increasingly diverse global community.

Throughout the course of this 30-credit program, you’ll be encouraged to explore Arabic as a language system, delving into linguistic concepts such as phonology, morphology, syntax and semantics. Under the guidance of expert faculty, including native Arabic speakers, you’ll learn to understand differences among Arabic dialects and survey literary texts as a means of understanding their social, historical and cultural contexts.
