The Bachelor of Science degree in Management at PennWest Global Online ensures that you learn business fundamentals while specializing in the field of management to prepare you for an evolving business environment.
Management involves planning, organizing, leading and controlling an organization’s human, financial and information resources to efficiently achieve goals.

You can choose to specialize your online Management major with a concentration in Parks & Recreation Management or Tourism, Hospitality and Event Studies. You can also specialize your studies by completing a minor or certificate in fields such as Economics, Forensic Accounting, or Entrepreneurship.

The Parks and Recreation Management concentration is dedicated to the effective preservation, management and use of our natural resources and prepares students for a career that promotes leisure lifestyles to benefit people and communities. The need for trained parks and recreation management professionals is continuing to grow. This program is perfect for students who are dedicated to improving the quality of life for our citizens and our communities. Students who complete this concentration will develop qualified and professional leadership skills to promote individual and family leisure lifestyles that enrich people and their communities.
Students will also learn and acquire practical experience in community recreation management, park and resource protection, recreation programming, interpretation, outdoor leadership, outdoor recreation research, and recreation facility and area planning.
This innovative concentration in Tourism, Hospitality and Event Studies gives students a solid foundation in business principles plus industry-specific tourism, hospitality, and event planning management skills that can take you anywhere in the world.
Students will learn business basics such as accounting, economics, finance, management, marketing and more, while a broad selection of tourism, hospitality, and events courses provide a theoretical framework and equip you to master the service practices essential to success in this dynamic field.
The program prepares graduates for positions at exciting locations such as attractions, airlines and airports, casinos, convention centers, country clubs, cruise ships, entertainment venues, cultural sites, hotels and resorts, museums, state and national parks, sports stadiums, theme parks, convention centers, event venues, and more.
